◆Kim Jaejoong & Park Yuchun, I am not an ‘acting-dol’ but an ‘actor’ now

Enlisting into the army on active duty a while ago, JYJ Kim Jaejoong chose KBS2 ‘Spy’ as his last project before he enlisted. He has broadened his acting range through various projects –like, a fusion-historical drama that crosses time and space, comedy movie, and melodrama– for the past 4 years since debuting as an actor through 2011’s SBS ‘Protect the Boss’ in the past. In the drama [‘Spy’], Kim Sunwoo who he acted as, is a NIS personnel but a field agent who must be active in concealing his own job from his family. Kim Jaejoong assimilated naturally into acting that goes between two extremes –with cool-headed charisma during his job as an agent, image of a charming son in front of his family members; and image of an affectionate boyfriend in front of his girlfriend– and became a real actor.

Sweeping the big screen away with his movie ‘Sea Fog’ and returning to television in the first half of 2015, JYJ Park Yuchun became a multiplayer through SBS ‘The Girl Who Sees Smells’. The role of Choi Mugak who he acted as, is a detective who lost his sense of feelings from losing his only little sister to a murderer. Park Yuchun delicately portrayed a gloomy side; with sobbing acting after the death of his little sister from an affectionate image down to ‘babo for his younger sibling’, and anger and hatred that pours out toward the murderer with the setting where he becomes insusceptible to his his sense of feelings afterwards. However, it was not only this. He evoked laughter unraveling a comic show with a deadpan expression while playing the comic partner for Shin Se-kyung, an aspiring gagwoman in the drama; and always tried ‘tempest eating broadcasts’ where he doesn’t even feel full due to his setting of losing his sense of feelings. Possessing the ability to be romantic, he caused viewers’ hearts to flutter, too. Park Yuchun has confirmed his convergence spanning from action to comedy, thriller, melodrama, and investigative.
